The Iron Eyes Cody doll was first sculpted in China. Iron Eyes flew to China for the sculpture to be made. Iron Eyes was only in China for twenty-four hours to find out that the person doing the sculpture was not making it to his satisfaction and was unable to capture the essence of Iron Eyes Cody. Iron Eyes came home to the United States and Joseph Barbera found a sculptor named Dale Oliver, who was retired from Walt Disney Studios, to do the sculpting. The results this time were perfect! The clothes on the doll are the same design that Iron Eyes Cody wore in the famous environmental commercial on television. The jacket and pants are made of real rawhide. The feather on the doll resembles the feather that Iron Eyes Cody had always worn since Iron Eyes Cody was 12 years old. The doll stands 23 inches high and is placed on a stand. This doll of Iron Eyes Cody is the one and only original ever made from the mold of the prototype doll that rests in the Vatican.
